History of the College of Business and Accountancy

The College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) boasts the largest student and faculty population in Enverga University, perhaps testament to the recent generation’s unconscious embodiment of such national visions as Philippines 2000 or Angat 2004 – or more probably due to a simple desire to succeed financially, which is not bad in itself.

Although MSEUF had been offering the Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree and Secretarial programs since it opening in 1947, it was not until 1970 that the College of Commerce formally came into existence. The department was renamed College of Business Administration before and evolving into its present name in 1998.

CBA has produced over 7,000 graduates since 1950, including more than 300 certified public accountants five of which landed in the national licensure examinations’ top 20. its large student population affords it a more diverse pool of talents, which makes CBA dominant in interdepartmental activities in recent years, the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) program is Level II Accredited and all Commerce baccalaureate programs are Reaccredited Level III by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACU-COA), making it the only business school with such status in the Southern Tagalog region.
