MSEUF-CRD, student body volunteer for relief ops for Yolanda victims

The Community Extension Service Program of the Manuel S. Enverga University through the Office of the Vice President for External Relations, Community Relations Department and the Office of Student Affairs, in coordination with the Philippine National Red Cross Quezon-Lucena City Chapter mobilized the entire MSEUF community to donate relief goods for typhoon Yolanda victims in the Visayas region.

Vice President for External Relations Michael Villanueva said student volunteers from the National Service Training Program, University Collegiate Student Council and Community Extension Service from various departments have been mobilized to fast track the sorting and repacking of non-food items for transport to affected regions in Eastern Visayas.

The launching of “Envergans Stand Up for Love”, an in MSEUF campaign to raise funds and gather donations for typhoon Yolanda victims amassed both food and non-food items consisting of sacks of rice, bottled water, variety of canned goods, noodles, assorted biscuits, beddings and blankets, clothing and slippers for kids and adults. The first batch of in-kind donations was delivered Nov. 19 at PNRC-Lucena Chapter.
