MSEUF names five alumni global awardees

MSEUF names five alumni global awardees

With the Founder’s vision and legacy of excellence, the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation Alumni Association Inc. awarded alumni who distinguished themselves globally. The Enverga Forever Global Award, the highest honor given an MSEUF alumnus/alumna was bestowed on five alumni who have made extraordinary contributions and demonstrated outstanding professional achievements and civic service to the global community.

This year’s Enverga Forever Global Awardees are Senator Tobias C. Enverga Jr. HS’72 S of the Canadian Parliament for public governance; Hon. Florfina de Guzman-Marcelino, AB’69, Minister of Culture, Heritage & Tourism of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, Canada for culture, heritage & tourism; retired Ambassador Renato L. Villapando, BSE’67 of the Philippine Consulate of Macau SAR for international diplomacy; Gilberto M. Vendiola, HS’66/BSBA’70 of the Dadia Valles Vendiola LLP, New York for business and finance and Bernardo B. Jamilla (Ret.) BSE’58, UNIDO, Vienna, Austria for human and industrial development.

The honorees were selected by a committee composed of past president Atty. Antonio Acyatan, current president Emilio Pilar, VP Academics Dr. Benilda Villenas, Atty. Medardo Medenilla, former Dean Evelyn Abeja, Alumni Assistant Secretary Sandra Zoleta and University Treasurer Erlinda L. Micor.

This year, the awards were given during the 66th Commencement Exercises held April 5 at the MSEUF Gymnasium and in the Grand Alumni Reunion held April 18-20 in Las Vegas, Nevada organized by the MSEUF Alumni Association of California headed by Nonato Palomar, president; Jose de Leon, adviser; Mercy Mallare, Malou Almadrones, Mercy Bruno, Arnold Bejasa, Romi Puertollano, Rolando Villarama and Apolinar Quinto.
