MSEUF is PACUCOA’s second highest among accredited HEIs for 2012

The Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) cited the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation for having the second highest number of accredited programs in the Philippines in its 23rd Annual General Assembly, Dec. 7, at the Century Park Hotel, Manila.

Enverga University has 25 accredited programs as of school year 2012-2013. PACUCOA also gave a special award to MSEUF for having the most number of accredited programs in the Calabarzon Region.

PACUCOA Chair Dr. Rosita Navarro handed the plaques and trophies to the MSEUF delegation led by President Naila Leveriza and Vice President for Academics Dr. Benilda Villenas. The 12-person delegation from the University Council who attended the awarding ceremonies are Dr. Claudia Odette Ayala of the College of Arts and Sciences, Dean Henedina Lagumen of the College of Criminology and Law Enforcement, Dean Juvy Tamondong of the College of Hotel and Restaurant Management, , Dr. Felix Mercado, Associate Dean of the Institute Graduate Studies and Research, Dean Paz Bobadilla of the College of Business and Accountancy, DR. Guillermo Rago of the College of Engineering and Technical Department, Arch. Jennifer Sanchez, faculty of the College of Architecture and Fine Arts, Dean Maria Corazon Valdeavilla of the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, Capt. Julio Jose Vertucio, Acting Superintendent of the Institute of Maritime Studies and Principal Reina Pasumbal of the Basic Education Department.

Dr. Andy Nazarechuk, founding dean of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas-Singapore (UNLV-Singapore), immediate past president and auditor of the International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education; keynote speaker, discussed the competitive race to the ASEAN Community 2015 and its implication to quality assurance thrusts of higher education institutions in the Philippines.

This year, PACUCOA celebrates its 59th founding anniversary.
