PACUCOA Awarding

The Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) cited the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation for having the highest number of accredited programs in the Philippines in its 21st Annual General Assembly on Dec. 10 at the Diamond Hotel, Manila.

Enverga University has 23 accredited programs as of school year 2010-2011. PACUCOA also gave two special awards to MSEUF for having the most number of candidate programs for accreditation in the country and for having the most number of accredited programs in the Calabarzon Region.

PACUCOA Chair Dr. Rosita L. Navarro handed the plaques and trophies to the MSEUF delegation led by Acting President and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Benilda N. Villenas. The seven-person delegation from the University Council who attended the awarding ceremonies are Deans Rodrigo Belleza of the College of Computer Studies, Henedina Lagumen of the College of Criminology and Law Enforcement, Dr. Joselina Baylongo of the College of Education, Dr. Claudia Odette Ayala of the College of Arts and Sciences, Juvy Tamondong of the College of Tourism and Hotel and Restaurant Management, Reina Valenzuela of the Basic Education Department, Engr. Jasmin Magno of the Quality Assurance Department and VPAA Dr. Villenas.

The keynote speaker Dr. Patricia Licuanan, chairman of the Commission on Higher Education, discussed strategies that HEIs can undertake to prepare their graduates for global professional practice. Case studies from higher education institutions to meet global challenges were presented in the convention.
