The Commission on Higher Education conferred on the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation in Lucena City the Autonomous Status effective March 11, 2009 to March 31, 2014, “for continuing exemplary performance in the trilogy of functions of a higher education institution in instruction, research and public service, and in recognition of the outstanding performance of its graduates, which manifest its genuine commitment to quality, excellence and global competitiveness,” the certificate read. The CHED award is the highest distinction given to a Philippine private higher education institution. President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo gave the award at Rizal Hall, Malacanang Palace, Dec. 10. MSEUF President Naila Enverga- Leveriza and Dr. Benilda N. Villenas, vice president for academic affairs, represented Enverga University in the awarding ceremony attended by CHED Chairman Emmanuel Y. Angeles and heads of top private higher education institutions in the Philippines. Enverga University is one of the 43 universities and colleges all over the country to receive such distinction and the first in Quezon Province. CHED also conferred Deregulated Status on other HEIs. |
