Eight student delegates and one teacher from the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation-Main Campus and ten students and one teacher from MSEUF-Candelaria campus joined the ten-day International student Exchange Program to Incheon in South Korea, Oct. 21-29.

Dr. Jose Lamberto Atienza, Vice President for External Affairs, headed the delegation. The teacher-chaperons were Victor Oribe of the main campus and Myrna Catapangan of the Candelaria campus.

Renee Lagaras, Dwayne Jude Gendrano, Teofilo Palsimon, Jr., IL MC Coulie del Mundo, Jaycelle Luchavez, Nathasia Marie Casino, Kristell Ann Constantino and Mary Conception Gallano were the members of the student exchange team from the main campus hosted by Incheon Youngson High School.

Roselyn Copo, Jemimah Faye Bisda, Cynde Morien Rufo, Kamil Castaneda, Mairell Claire de Castro, Nyreen de los Santos, Arly Chester Dimaycyac, Rachele Joyce Florante, Jirehmar Isles and Ma. Renalene Javier comprised the Candelaria campus delegation that visited Incheon Nam High School.

Earlier, the University hosted 18 students, 3 teachers and the principals of both high schools on a ten-day visit. The visit consisted of participation in academic and co-curricular activities, English learning and tour of historical and tourist destinations headed by Mr. Kim An-Sung, principal of Incheon Nam High School, and Mr. Yoon Byung Hwan, principal of Incheon Youngson High School.


The student exchange team from Incheon Youngson High School hosted by the MSEUF Candelaria campus were Lee Dongin, Kim Deukhwan, Seo Yongyun, Eo Seongryong, Kim Heeyon, Kim Woojung, You Na Young and Lee Sumin. The group’s teacher-coordinator was Ms. Namgoong Myoung Mi.

Meanwhile the counterpart from Incheon Nam High School hosted by the MSEUF campus were Mr. Yoon Youngson head teacher, Ms. Choe Youngmi teacher, and Choi Jungho, Moon Inki, Kim Daehyeon, Cho Sungil, Cho Daehyun, Jeong Wonsik, Park Ilsoon, Kim Doyeop, Kim Junyeong and Lee Jungwook students.

The Korean outbound team from the MSEUF also attended classes, participated in cultural activities and visited tourist and historical landmarks in Incheon, South Korea.
Meanwhile, Dr. Atienza reported that he explored the possibility of a similar exchange program with Incheon University that will focus on faculty and student exchange, research and publication exchange and other collaboration projects.

The Korean international student program is now on its second year in the main campus and on its first year in the Candelaria campus.
